In these ink-on-vellum drawings, I use motifs from traditional Asian art and 1960s hairstyling manuals to generate hybrid and enigmatic forms. Motifs that represent ephemeral or fluid substances such as clouds, waves, and hair are combined to build forms that seem to be solid or self-contained.
