Sculptures > Candy Memorials

2018; acrylic on plaster and wood;
each approx. 1.5 x 4 x 4 inches

These works are composed of painted plaster casts of the

receptacles in discarded candy-box trays, mounted on wood blocks.

The casts of the spaces that once held candies become

physical remembrances of indulgent experiences.

Painted and mounted, they are transformed into

sober talismans, with forms that resemble ceremonial architecture,

such as burial mounds and tombs of ancient civilizations.
